San Leandro city council implements rent Review Board including Duplexes and Single Family homes under it Review Process.   San Leandro also has Rent Stabilization Board limited rent increases to a maximum of $75.00 per year or no more than 8% of currant rent whatever is less.   For more about Rent control for many cities visit this page.

San Leandro also has a business license fee of $36.50 license and a unit fee of $6.00 per unit owned.  San Leandro is not conduction mandatory rental inspections.   Hayward rental owners were required to have a city inspector do a code compliance/ safety inspection every few years on all rentals but has not done so for several years.   Owner of rentals in Union City has a business license fee.    Oakland also has a business license fee and rental income tax as well as places a cap on rent increases like other communities.
